Thanks to bad information on Ancestry.com (now I know to check with other sources), a few weeks ago, I adding an incorrect fifth grandfather, which led to several merges and now I have thousands of people in my tree to whom I am not related. I've deleted the few that I could, but what I really need to do is to be able to remove my fifth grandfather's incorrect parents and start again, but when I try to edit his relationships, I get the split tree warning and the remove button doesn't work. My husband and I planned to give ourselves a Pro account for Christmas, but I just wanted to confirm that I will be able to remove relationships once we upgrade.
