My question is how I can make all my dead relatives as public profiles.

  You find the option for that under Edit Profile on each profile.

  There is currently no quick-edit for that in the family lists, so it probably easier to get an overview over which profiles is private and edit in tree-view

  I have hundreds, if not thousands of deceased ancestors who, for some reason, have private profiles. Surely, there is a way to make them all public without doing them one at a time?
