I have a person duplicated in my tree so that it appears that they are brothers when in reality they are the same person. I sent a merge request but I can't tell who the request is going to. I just want to clean it up but I don't know how to proceed. Seems like I used to be able to do this on my own.

Ellen, if you could post a link to the profile, the I could tell you more about why it didn't merge automatically. It may be just outside your family group scope. If that's the case, a curator can complete the merge for you or when the other manager get's around to seeing the merge request. If you manage one of the profiles, you could just delete that profile if it's the only duplicate.
I think I just had to be more patient and wait for the other person to respond. If I have other trouble I'll write again. Thanks!
