this is not me..
someone used my email address for this account. I have no idea who any of these people are and would like to remove my email address, but I'm not sure how to do that without closing this person's account.

Bjørn P. Brox As far as I can see it is your uncle Raphael which have added your profile and knowing your email he have probably invited you to join his tree, which you have accepted by clicking the invitation link you got by mail.
You can close your account without destroying his tree (see http://www.geni.com/account_settings/all_account_settings), but before you do that I suggest that you contact him so he can explain how things works and why he invited you. He probably just want to show you what he have entered and might hope that you help him building your shared family tree.

Jeff, Geni Curator Doesn't sound like she knows uncle Raphael. :) Raphael probably entered the email address incorrectly, getting you instead of the intended Allie Dollins. If you want to be nice, you can send Raphael a message telling him that he got the wrong email recipient, but as Bjorn suggested, you'll want to close the account. It will not effect his tree. Do feel free to create your own tree with the correct people afterward. :)
