Yair Sageev Yeah, I've noticed this as well. Not sure how I feel about it. On the one hand, they are photos and documents that I scanned and researched. On the other, it's good to have a backup, which people "stealing" your info effectively accomplishes. Also, many of these people added a good number of profiles themselves, so they have a right to go solo. I say "let it go", since there is nothing you can do about it anyway.

Debbie Hausman Hi Yair, thanks for your response. But how do you feel when someone on Geni has "stolen" info and photos from your "private" profiles, and then listed them on My Heritage as public profiles? -
Jeff, Geni Curator I don't think they can make living profiles public, here or at MH, so it would be on deceased ones. It would bug me if I didn't know the person that snatched them and I'd probably send them a message asking to collaborate or request making them private.

Barbara Elizabeth Reisner I also see that my profiles and photos have been uploaded by people on My Heritage, but their entries have spelling errors that I would like to correct. However, it is not possible to contact a My Heritage manager without paying a fee for a data subscription, EVEN THOUGH Geni has said that lifetime Geni subscribers automatically have a FREE 5-yerar data subscription to My Heritage!! What is going on here? Why do they have a right to our material, but we have no right to contact them?

Jeff, Geni Curator Barbara, make sure you're logged into MyHeritage and using the same email address as here on Geni. If you have the data subscription, then it should pass through and allow you access to all the data and contact. If you're having an issue, then contact Geni support or email subscriptions@geni.com
To clarify, no information or material was transfered to MyHeritage by Geni. If your content exists on that site, it's because a family member copied it from Geni and uploaded it there.
