A relative of mine (let's call her "Mary" for confidentiality) received a message on her profile saying: "Mary merged a duplicate profile for Mary".
But "Mary" did not do it, did not authorize it, and she had not been logged in to Geni for a long time.
We've never seen this type of message. Could someone make a change like this by using someone else's name?

Could you send me a message with a link to her profile using Geni messaging system so I can take a closer look.
Have you been in contact with her about this? - remember that you cannot see her last login.
Accepting a merge on your own profile can be done without even logging in by accepting to join Geni with the same email as one you already have on Geni, but you get a message about that.
An update: It was a nephew who had sent her an invitation using the same email to join a tree he just had started that caused the merge when the invitation was accepted.
Case closed...
