Keeping updates to tree private

Hi, is it possible to avoid any revisions to your family tree from appearing in a relative's timeline? I would also like to avoid having these revisions be sent out in email notifications. The reason is that I am making a significant number of additions to the tree and I don't want to bombard my relatives' timelines and email inboxes.

  Sherrina, You should be able to set these from your account setings.

  Sherrina, on any page, your name in the upper right. There is a drop down menu. Click on Account Settings

  Thanks Eldon. Under Recent Activity, there is a box which says "An update will always appear when I add someone to the tree". It looks like all my relatives will receive email updates whenever I make a change to the tree. Am I missing something here?

  I have never used those settings, just knew they are there. If there  is no option to change, you can't. :-(
