I want to change Robert from my son to my brother and it cant be done

  Take a closer look in the relationships tab when editing his profile: The listing of parents is a pull-down menu for easy cahnges to nearby parent sets.

  Otherwise you could use "Move" in the tree-view menu on the profile.
