I am recently divorced and had no children with my ex-spouse. She is an active Geni user as well. I understand there is some genealogical value (wrt. marriage records, etc.) to still having her connected to me in the tree, but I would like to stop receiving matches and merge requests for people in her family, and to remove existing matches and merge requests for her family from my Merge Center. I don't have any information about her family, so I can't act on any of these notifications—they just sit in my Merge Center forever. How can I get rid of them?

Ginni Sue Rosenfeld I have the same question - although we have a child together, and their name is on my tree, I really don't want to merge the trees or other information about them at this time. Geni Curators, how can we turn off merge requests for a particular individual without saying it's not the same person?

Brenda J Chilson Exactly. Why do I want to know if ex's tree changes or grows? How can this be changed?
