Hello, certain nodes in my tree have a small number attatched to them. For instance my mothers node has the number 3 and my father 1. What are these numbers?

Bjørn P. Brox What you see is the birth order for that person. The ordering of the profiles itself is depending on your focus point in the tree.
You have an option to set the birth order under edit profile. Please not that the birth order is a numbering of children with the same parents, so two half siblings might have the same number and not numbered after their common parent.
