How do I stop receiving emails from my husband's family members?

I recently joined Geni and I'm still learning. My husband's sister wanted to start a tree so I invited her. She is constantly updating things and MY family members are receiving numerous emails per week from my husband's sister's updates.

How do I channel and receive only updates from my parental family members?

Any help or advice appreciated.

  As a first step: Go to her profile to see if you are following her, - if so: unfollow.

  The next step: Click your own name in the the upper right corner of the Geni window to bring up the menu there and select your Account Settings.
  Then select Notifications and uncheck the notifications you don't want by email.
