Setting up a brother-sister relationship between existing profiles

Hello,

 

I have a situation in which I don't know how to set up a relationship. I have a person who wad parents. Then they died and he was adopted by his aunt and her husband. I've managed to add biological father and mother to that person and then adoptive parents. How do I now set up that his father and his adoptive mother are brother and sister? I've been clicking all over and can't find anything remotely close to setting up brother-sister relationship to existing profiles. I can't even get them to show up on the same tree of anybody since I have an option to show only either biological parents or adoptive parents. Can anybody help me please?

  So, what you need to do is set everything up in the tree as biological.  It sounds like you have the child's parents set and I expect you now have his adoptive mother as his aunt.  If that's the case, you need to go into tree view, select the "More" option and select "Move".  A box will appear on the right side of the screen with the child in it.  Drag that box onto his aunt and select "Son or Daughter".  Now that child is in conflict, with 2 sets of parents.  Go into their relationship tab and set one set (aunt & uncle) as Adoptive.
