The tree won't show the closest relation

I'm finally active again, and merged my new own profile with the old one and have done all the mergers. During some year's time my profile was only attached out to the big global family tree via ancestor's on my mother's side. Now I'm back on track, and on my paternal line, my third great grand father is the last one who is actually described as my third great grand father. But from his father on all my family there will only be shown as relatives the longer way via my mother's side. The father of the third great grand father won't be detected as fourth great grand father, only as my "fourth cousin 7 times removed's husband's first cousin once removed's husband's son's wife's niece's partner's sister's husband's first cousin twice removed's wife's sister's husband's second cousin 6 times removed". How, when, where and why will this change?
