Taking over trees

Hello,
I am getting warnings about this person. Apparently he wants to "take over" family trees. Would that be possible? For what purpose?

Röppänen claims to be a distant relative to a cousins husband. It is impossible to know if that is true.

When following your message, I still can't find out how to undo his linking.

  Helén, I don't believe it's a warning or a take over.  This is what Geni is designed and intended to do, remove duplication by creating a single tree of common ancestors and profiles.  Please see https://www.geni.com/worldfamilytree/learn-more

  If the profile presented by Pentti is a duplicate of an existing profile, then yes, we want you to merge those two profiles into a single profile. That will often create a conflict since we're taking two trees and combining them into a single tree, but such duplicate profile conflicts are easily resolved, resulting in a more complete and accurate tree.  We don't want you to have a copy of a person and him to have another copy of the same person.  The desire is to make them one profile, one branch within one tree where you collaborate.  A single shared collaborative tree is the primary goal of Geni.  Do know that privacy still applies within your family group: https://www.geni.com/company/privacy and you can see any new additions to the tree via this list: http://www.geni.com/list?group=family

  I know that seems like a bother but there are many advantages to having your tree merged with others -- you'll find connections you previously didn't know existed, and maybe even find some new cousins!
