The current tree name uses my maiden and married name: Ward Page. However, the tree is entirely devoted to the families of my father and mother--Ward and Davies, not to my husband's family. I need the name of the tree to reflect this fact, for myself and my relatives. Please change it to Ward/Davies. Thank you very much.

Yvonne Young I need to know that too - I want my tree to have my great-grandfather's name, not my father's

Barbara Katz I want the name of the tree to be changed. I saw today for the first time (when new persons joined the tree ) that the tree got a namae that does not correspond to my research. How do I get that changed?

Jeff, Geni Curator I think the tree name is different for each person, based on the individual and I know of no way to change it. -
Barbara Katz I agree that the tree name is different for each person but I don't want Geni to decide which family names will form the tree name. You choose the name for my tree based on two entries, one of which does not reflect the families I am researching. I was very surprised today to read the name of my tree when 2 members of the family joined my tree. I did certainely not choose this name.So if you don't know how to change it, don't choose names. We should be free to name our tree. The tree is devoted to the Katz and Nenkes families so I want the name to be Katz/Nenkes. Very many of them were killed in concentration camps during the Holocaust and the tree is in their honor. Thank you

Jeff, Geni Curator Barbara, understood. You should know though that Geni is a collaborative shared tree. When I hear things like "The tree is devoted to the Katz and Nenkes families", I think you're completely misunderstanding what Geni is. Geni is not a isolated tree where you work on a specific branch, like our parent site MyHeritage or sites like Ancestry. Geni is a single world tree design where all trees are interconnected and duplicates merged together. A tree is "the tree" in all its facets and relationships, whomever is connected by whatever surname. https://www.geni.com/worldfamilytree/learn-more
