I recently found a person has merged with my tree that is a non-family member and it has change on my fathers side drastically and I want to find out how to get it back the way it was before. How do I get geni to look into this as I am not finding a way to contact them over this issue? Thank you.

Alan Thompson Same here. One of the Curators has dleted the link between my wife's Grandfather and his parents and replaced them with peope from his imagination. There seems to be no quality control or oversight of what these people are allowed to get away with.

I'd guess their owner would have to rectify their placement? I had gone down the Hempel path a few months back but there was one issue that meant one child was married and having children at age 5 which pointed me in the direction of an error.
Richard John Sparkman15/12/2015 at 4:45 PMHi Alan
Thanks for the "heads up" on your tree.I have scrutinised it using your data progression as well as various My Heritage Family Tree sources and believe that it is correct now - and it follows your progression.
Mistakes such as the one you have seen do creep in from time to time with perhaps someone doing an incorrect merge.
For instance in correcting the tree I discovered that there were 2 males and 1 female all "married" to one another back in the days when that was not accepted and using various reference sources I have sorted it out.Have a look now and let me know if you spot any errors.
Thanks for pointing things out and as a Curator I dont immediately jump and adjust a tree, as that would also be incorrect, but if I can corroborate the data given and also apply a degree of logic I will make corrections as I have done now.
Nice chatting and enjoy Geni.
Regards
John
Alan Bruce Thompson15/12/2015 at 2:10 PMI see the issue now.
There is an erroneous connection between the Hepels and our branch of the Krause's. My wife's grandmother Helen Pauline Becker was the child of Franz Gustav Becker and Emilie Luise Karshagen - she was not in any way connected to the Hempels. This information has been confirmed by data retrieved from the OFS archives. Basically what's currently on Geni in regards my wife's branch of the Krause's is completely incorrect.
See below for correct details:
Emile Luise Becker (Karshagen)
Her father - Michael Karshagen
Her mother - Friedericke ?
her husband →Franz Gustav Becker
her daughter → Helene Pauline Krause (Becker)
her son in law → Friederich Johann Ludwig Krause
her grandson - Franz August Krause
her great granddaughter→ Yvonne Cynthia Thompson (Krause)
her great grand daughters husband→ Alan ThompsonI also must admit to be extremely concerned to finding people are publishing details of my family on this site and linking them to families we have no connection with with no apparent attempt to confirm relationships.

Alan Thompson Same Curator now linking the death details of some random woman in the UK to my wife's Auntie

Trish I am still having problems getting my tree back together. Very little has changed.

Alan Thompson It's ridiculous. I've got a Curator who claims "as a Curator I dont immediately jump and adjust a tree, as that would also be incorrect, but if I can corroborate the data given and also apply a degree of logic" but then proceeds to link a lady who sepnt her entire life in Southern Africa with a woman in the UK.
This individual is not in any way linked to our family so how does he get control of the profile of a direct relative, in this case an Aunt, and on what basis can he make such ridiculous links.
There appears to be no control whatsoever of Curator actions. The One Tree concept is entirely dead given the rubish that is being linked and those of us who are serious researchers can only stand and watch the disaster unfolding
