Reported and edit permissions restricted but reportee doing the same thing I was reported for?????

I was reported for updating profiles with correct information based on documentation provided by government organisations. My edit permissions are now restricted and whilst restricted the individual who reported me has;

1. Disconnected my wife's Grandfather from his parents and grandparents

2. Substituted 2 off unknown persons for my wife's Grandafather's parents

How does this work?

How can my wife's aunt's husband's first cousin twice removed's husband's wife's nephew's wife's second cousin once removed make changes to my wife's Grandfather whilst she can't?

How can someone get restricted for correcting something and then find private profiles are being disconnected from immediate family members by the person who initially reported me?

  Alan Bruce Thompson 16/12/2015 at 5:25 PM	I've no idea what you are on about. The tree is now correct with all Hempel references rermoved by the person who added them in error.

Friedericke Karshargen was merged into Carl Friedrich Hempel by Alan Bruce Thompson.  Yesterday at 11:10 AM · Surely you realise that merging 2 totally different people into one profile is blatant vandalism and not just a finger mistake or else misreading almost identical names. Is there any reason why I should not report you to client services at Geni and ask for your suspension. I am still waiting for you to explain what the relationship between "Michael Karshargen was added as Carl Friedrich Hempel's husband by Alan Bruce Thompson" should be so that I can attempt to correct the tree but other than to deny your actions -and I quote  " I've no idea why Carl Hempel was added as Michael's husband as I did nothing that should have caused this." and now this latest way out merge.   Richard John Sparkman 16/12/2015 at 7:28 AM	Hi again  Below is access to Geni's Privacy Policy and from this you will see that the profiles of living people ARE Private except for the exceptions mentioned - notably immediate family. That is perhaps why you are able to view them but they will be <Private> to the casual or distant user. http://www.geni.com/company/privacy http://www.geni.com/company/privacy#full_privacy I will see what I can do about the earlier "spouse" situation but am going out this morning. Perhaps some pointers from you will assist as they are really more distant and I dont have in-depth knowledge - only what I can glean from some related My Heritage Family Trees where I have been given access.   But it's OK fro you to do exactly the same thing????? Disconnecting my wife's grandfather's parents and replacing them with people with incorrect names, no dates and no backup data??

  Classic latest example - our Auntie Alice connected with a hint for some random woman who died in the UK. Completely incorrect and without the slightest attempt at research or the use of logic.

  My question remains - how can Mr. Sparkman, who is not in any way connected to our family, do this?
