My home page shows recent activities of several other people as well as myself. Today I became a premium member and also added some events to my own profile, which has locked down privacy settings. Can my collaborators, family members or anyone else see these activities?

Jeff, Geni Curator On public profiles, other users can see your activities - this helps with revision control, so we know who made changes to what. For private profiles, like your own profile, only you and your family can see the changes (those within your family group). Collaborators can not see private profiles - it just gives them a little more edit permissions on public profiles that you manage. Curators and Geni staff can see changes to any profile to help deal with vandalism, assist users, etc. This should help explain it: https://www.geni.com/company/privacy

Melanie Smith Thanks very much. That is reassuring to know. I had read the privacy policy, and did understand that my profile was private, but it didn't specifically mention the activity feed on people's home pages so just wanted to ensure that this was covered as well. So as I understand it now, on our home page under "Recent Activities" and "Revisions" we can see all of our own activities, on private and public profiles, discussions, etc. as well as the public activities of other members, profiles, discussions or projects that we follow, collaborate with or are members of, but not their work on private profiles?
Incidentally, the link on that page near the bottom, "Read our full privacy policy" just opens the same page, in a recurrent loop! :-)
