There is incorrect information saying my in laws are my siblings or something equally as strange. On that page it says my husband is the owner of the tree. He doesn't know anything about Genealogy hasn't ever even done a search. On Ancestry and My heritage information is all correct so no idea why Geni has incorrect information that I can't change. HELP!
Jo, there is really no owner in a shared tree. There are just those that added profiles, so they become a contact or a manager. I've merged together the various trees of your family so that you have a single branch to work from, but I didn't identify the incorrect relationships that you describe. If you want to be more detailed and state what is incorrect, I can help you fix it. Thank you very much for your help. I would greatly appreciate it if you would check my husband's tree perhaps that is where the errors are. His name is Richard B Trust, his mom was Ruth Krantz Trust, his Dad Nelson Richard Trust, his siblings Ronald D Trust and Karen E Trust. His grandparents Mollie (Malka?) Schrager Krantz, Samuel Krantz. Somewhere they are listed as my relatives and I would love to get that corrected. As I said I tried and it said I am not the owner of the tree so I can't correct it thanks!!
I would like to get incorrect information off my tree. Jo E Jacobus is me but on that tree it has incorrect information and I am unable to change it. Why is that if a tree isn't owned by a person?
Geni is a shared tree, so it's not really owned by anyone. It just has managers for profiles, since they added a profile. If you're not able to edit a profile, it's likely because they're a Geni member. If you want to describe the errors, I can help fix them or instruct you on how to fix them.
I don't see the problem you describe where your ancestors are those of your husband. How are you viewing the tree? You can change the focus of the tree to different individuals. Are you sure you're not looking at the tree as if focused on your husband's profile?
