I do not want to manage other peoples profiles how can they make me a manager of profiles of people I dont know anything about?
What happens here is that when a tree is "abandoned," due to the inactivity of any managers for a length of time, and then is reported as an abandoned tree, the computer sends the profiles to the nearest manager who is active -- in this case, that would be you.
I've got many profiles I'm not really attached to -- my own method of dealing with this is to keep them on hold -- when someone who IS connected to them contacts me about one, I ask if I can transfer them over. I hate to have abandoned trees lying around.
You can invite someone else to manage a profile by going up to "Actions" on the upper right hand side of a profile, and clicking on "Manager Options."
