I'm asked to merge 2 profiles

I'm asked to merge 2 profiles, but one profile hasjncorrect info so I don't want to merge the 2. Do I just indicate no to merger, since I'm a basic user & can't correct the info? Email is below.

  That depends - is it incorrect info meaning they are not the same person or you think they might not be the same person?  If so, then don't merge.  If they are the same person and the other profile just has an incorrect date or location, then merge them.  You will be able to do data conflict resolution (action menu) after or you can just correct the information.  If it is the same person (correct wife and children for example), but the other profile has a bad relationship (like the parents are wrong).  I'd suggest starting a discussion to question the data or getting a curator involved to disconnect the bad connection.  https://www.geni.com/discussions/156925  The main point is that we have one profile for one person and we collaborate to correct any errors.  We don't want one branch of Geni of a person with correct data and another branch of that same person with incorrect data.  We want one profile were all descendants benefit from the correct information. https://www.geni.com/worldfamilytree/learn-more

  In the case of the first merge compare (I didn't look at the second one), I didn't see any incorrect data in the other profile, just lack of data.  When you merge, your data will be maintained.  Data is not lost in a merge even if there is conflicting data, you'll have the ability to resolve those conflicts.
