Whatever is in the "Help" now seems obsolete. There is no "Start a New Project" button on the top right when I click on Projects.

Jeff, Geni Curator I click Research at the top, then click Projects. There is a big green button in the top right that says "Start a New Project"

Susan Barretta Under Projects there is NO big green button in the top right that says "Start a New Project." The Knowledge Base is obsolete.
So how do I start a project ?

Jeff, Geni Curator Hmm, perhaps your edit rights were suspended by a Curator. Check your messages to see if a curator has contacted you in such regard. -
Susan Barretta There is NO such message in my inbox about edit rights being suspended. Only "Welcome to Geni."

Alex Moes Hi Susan,
I checked your privledges and you have not been blocked by any Curator. Creating Projects is indeed a feature available to all Geni users so it does seem odd that you cannot achieve this.
Please click on this hyperlink, it is a screen shot captured from my PC : https://s3.amazonaws.com/photos.geni.com/p13/7c/5c/bb/bf/53444840125a4987/start_project_original.jpg
You can see where i have marked "1", "2" and "3" in green, these are the buttons you need to select as Jeff has already described.

Alex Moes Sorry Susan,
I just had a look at the link you posted and I can see now that you are not getting the green button, very odd.

Jeff, Geni Curator Susan, I'm thinking this might be an anti-spam feature, where a new user is restricted from creating a project for x hours after joining. Project creation is not something new users typically do, but spam accounts will. I'd suggest trying it again the next day or two. In the mean time, a message was sent by the curator team to customer service for further investigation. -
Steven Teasdale Hi Susan
Has this issue been resolved for you. I am looking to start a project as well after researching various platforms. Like you, I do not see the green "Start a New Project" button. Did it eventually show up after a day or two?
