I keep finding more and more names listings saying that I have well over 20 great-grandfathers, I also find other duplicate names for other realtives naming multliple ancestors such as 10 or more great-grandmothers. How can that be.

How can I have over   20 great-grandfathers, that is just ones I have found lately, that is by no means the complete number,  I also have many   of the same number of great-grandmothers.  Please explain.

  I don't see any duplication that would indicate more than the normal 8 great grandparents.  So I assume it's moving beyond that - 16 potential 2nd great grandparents, 32 potential 3rd great grandparents.  I see for you, that you have 4 great grandparents listed, 6 2nd GGP, 10 3rd GGP.  So maybe that's it?
