I currently have 148 documents. There are currently eight collections defined for documents. When I add up my documents in these eight collections, I have 134. So, obviously, I have 14 documents that have not been assigned to a collection. I would like the ability to select these "unclassified" documents as if they were in a collection to see which of my documents are unclassified.

Lo They do have the category "Other". BUT - it sure would be nice to be able to pull up the ones which do not have a classification - either because you forgot to give it one, or because Geni dropped it. (Haven't checked recently - did notice at least one time - when used short-cut 'Add Profiles' instead of Adding Profiles thru Edit Document - think it dropped the category!)

Jack Sterling Friedman I recently started adding many documents and it is a pain. Displaying the document collection with the document icon list would be a possible solution. Having a collection called "All" to display all documents and the "null" or "blank" selection should display only those unassigned. Yes and we need user-defined collections also like we have for our photos to make a large number of documents more managable..

Dan Cornett I would like to have user-defined group names in addition to the pre-defined ones. At least a couple of them.

George Watson RODGER, Jr. I agree that we need to be able to filter documents that have not been assigned to a collection. So there should certainly be an "unspecified" collection option available to enable this functionality. I suggest that we also have a new "Status" field for all documents (including photographs) that would be populated from a drop-down menu with "Pending", "Review", "Complete", etc. -
Yao Liu I support to have user-defined classification. A uniform approach is not necessary, as one rarely needs to (if allowed) look into other users' document collections (though some historical documents, as well as historical paintings and photos, ought to be made more public.

Petrina Dawn REDMOND At least a couple of user defined classifications would be great.
And being able to see the unassigned ones in one place would be great, rather than having to check each one.
