Figure out how to get rid of relative's relatives
please figure out how to not notify me of the birthdayS etc of my husbands cousin's wife's family that I don't know and never will. If it is not my blood relative or their spouse, don't notify me

Dan Cornett Perhaps being able to specify "how close" the relationship is for announcements? e.g.:
Send announcements for: (a) immediate family only (b) all extended family members (c) family members "N" steps away
... where "immediate" is children, parents, and siblings and spouse(s) (i.e.: 1 "step" away)
-- while "N" is a value I can set: N=2 would include grandparents and children and spouse's parents and aunts/uncles, while N=3 would include 1st cousins, spouse's immediate relatives, .... etc. ...

Lo Dan - I really like your suggestion. Not sure if "Me too!"-ing the official listed suggestion here will get your elaboration considered, but hope so.
