I don't understand when and why did you change your politics. I've been working on my genealogy tree FOR YEARS. I've choosen Geni to write down all the info I got, all my years of work, and now you tell me that I can have a tree of +100 relatives... when I already have 696 people on it. 

I worked hard and I trusted in Geni, now I have to look for another website that offer this service for free and delete all my hours of work from your database.

Is this wise? Do you think that Facebook will be today so popular if they ask users to upgrade to "Pro"?

I regret to choose Geni for this work. And the new season of reserch is about to start, guys, you couldn't do it WORSE:

  I have the same issue. It was a bold move on Geni's side and now we are all stuck.

  I found that Myheritage.com allows for 250 in their basic.

  It may be of little consolation and I do NOT condone Geni's recent actions but IF as Juan says he already has over 100 ancestors then you don't lose access to those relatives you just can't add any more without paying.  There are in places, some public libraries for example, where you can access Geni on a public account. When you access Geni under these circumstances you can then add more profiles, so it may be worth checking to see if there is anywhere near where you live either offering this service or who would be willing to offer the service with Geni's cooperation.  You can of course collaborate and try to get other people to add relatives for you and then add you as a manager.  Sorry I can't be of much more help.

  I forgot to add, please don't start trying to delete your tree as other people may already be hooked onto your tree and you would then be ruining other people's trees because of the sharing nature of Geni.

  Juan, If you have not already done so, download a GEDCOM of all your work from Geni and then load it into an offline program such as Personal Ancestral File (free from the LDS) or any other genealogy program. Then you can work on your tree and add as much as you would like.
