it'd be nice if it would be possible to implement family coats of arms into one's profile, OTHER than just uploading a picture of it.
So that, for example, the family tree pictures the coat of arms on the top and/or as a small version in the top corner of the box of every family members that carry it.
I know coats of arms do not directly relate to Genealogy, but they can serve as identification for ancestoral lines.

Nah, a real coat of arms might change from generation to generation, especially if the wife is of some other noble line causing sometimes that the children to include a symbol from her coat of arm.
I organize families to the same coat of arm by tagging them to the same image. Viewing the image lists all members associated to that coat of arm.On the profiles where I don't have any image that can associated to them directly (photo, paining, farm etc) the coat of arm is used as a profile picture.
