Wish paid members of Geni or MyHeritage could use both programs or have them marged together to get the best of both worlds.In November 2012, Geni was acquired by MyHeritage Ltd. and is now a MyHeritage company.

There is a big difference: Geni's One World tree and MyHeritage's standalone trees, but technologies will be exchanged which especially will be a benefit for Geni users, like MH's Smart Matches.
The Geni curators are already beta-testing some new stuff: An automatic search in from a Geni Profile to MyHeritage's large source database (census, find-a-grave, newspapers etc), - currently just as a look-up, but later on with an option to attach those sources to your Geni Profile.

Your letter was wonderful and sharing the plains for both Geni & MyHeritage's user's. After reading your reply I was wondering, if there is or will be a way to exchange GEDCOM files? Source database (census, find-a-grave, newspapers etc), is wonderful idea to be shared between both programs. The plateform,s of each program is different in what they do and yet seem to be some what the same, other then Family tree's or World tree. Iam a paid member of MyHeritage.Com (PremiumPlus & Data subscription) and use Geni.Com (Geni Basic). I like both programs very much and use them both. I guess the only thing not answered, will Paid Members of Geni or MyHeritage be able to use both programs without paying more? I thank you all at Geni & MyHeritage for working together. Bring families together and a way to share pictures, information, stories, tools that work great, and a team ready to fixs any problems paid user,s may have. This is true, because MyHeritage.com fixed a problem I had 2 mouth ago. I could not Publish my work, so I emailed MyHeritage.com and they got back to me and I needed to send them some information. Step by step was send to me on how to get the information they needed to fixs that Publishing problem. I was so darn happy one night late they send me a email - Please try to Publish again. So I did a WOW it worked. Yes Geni & MyHeritage.Com are a world Class Companies and cares about there pd members. Ps. share this with MyHeritage.com also.

I paid my subscription to MyHeritage, But I made my tree in Geni. will i have to pay in Geni too?? thanks!
At least, it will be great if there is a discount if we are going to pay for both Geni and MyHeritage :)
