I think this is an IT issue: Can Geni be programmed so that we don't have to vary the spelling several times when searching for a person? Case in point: If the name Robitschek could be entered and bring up, say, Roubitschek, it would be such a time-saver, and matches could be found more easily. The same for variant spellings of Joseph, Elisabeth, etc.

Bjørn P. Brox MyHeritage which just bought Geni have a much better search technology and the plan as far as I know is that this technology will be integrated in Geni.
Tried Google search?
It is usually faster than Geni and don't hit the pay-wall for basic users when clicking on the results.
You search Geni for profiles by prefixing the search keyword with site:geni.com/people
