I've had issues now with having to keep both my family tree on Geni and my tree on MyHeritage up to date with research I've been finding, solely in order to keep my Geni SmartSearch working accurately. This is a pain, and I don't see why you can't directly link trees between the two sites. And it definitely doesn't make sense to export GEDCOMs, and reimport them into MyHeritage every time I make changes, especially considering the size of my tree.
Similarly, while I can "Research" a person in my Geni tree, it lets me find results, but I can't then connect it back to the Geni profile, only to the MyHeritage profile (assuming that person is in my MyHeritage tree under the same name).
