Color the edges of the tree differently for the direct line

It would be helpful (especially when one manages to create a large tree with lots of branches of cousins as well as 

direct ancestors) to be able to see the direct line: perhaps this line could be colored in red instead of black.

This would make it easier to trace back multiple generations and then trace back down the tree again.

  That would be a good feature. :)  One thing that you could do if you're working with direct ancestry is change the display settings at the bottom of the tree by selecting preferences and checking "Direct Ancestors Only"
