I spend the summer photographing cemeteries in several counties in PA. I would be able to locate profiles more quickly to add the photos if I were able to search by cemetery. It is more convenient to add photos by cemetery especially when I have the cemetery name and location before I go to photograph memorials. At present, I have been posting them on Find A Grave so I have a way to go back and search to find them after I am done with posting all of the photos that aren't already there. Searching by cemetery would eliminate the extra step of posting on another site before going back and trying to find each one that belongs to my tree.

Jeff, Geni Curator That would be a nice feature - in fact, we've talked about categorization based on locations. One thing that I can suggest is the population via Record Matches. MyHeritage has a partnership with BillionGraves, so if you upload there (and their cellphone app is excellent - I'd use it even if uploading to FindAGrave later), then the grave stones should hopefully start to match profiles in the tree. It use to work with FindAGrave as well, but then Ancestry bought them.

Rudy Reid Orawiec My need is slightly different because I am taking new photographs after I locate the cemeteries with my ancestors. They are photos that are not on BillionGraves or Find-A-Grave. I would like to be able to search using the Geni search by cemetery and a sub-search of the cemetery by surname so I could add the photos to my family tree. Otherwise, I have to work my way through many profiles to re-locate profiles for which I have taken new photos. I have taken nearly 60,000 photos and posted them on Find-A-Grave and many of them need to be added to my family tree.

Jeff, Geni Curator Ah, you can use the http://www.geni.com/list
Just put the cemetery (or the city) in the burial or death location and search. You can set what profiles to search via the Group selection.
