Photo Error: portrait disappeared and cannot be replaced

One day my partner's photo disappeared. Now all it says is "photo error." I cannot find a way to replace his portrait. Any advice?

  No idea how to get it fixed.  I have a relative with a similar/the same problem with his Profile Photo, and would like it Fixed.  Perhaps this needs to be addressed in a Public Discussion - where sometimes more attention seems to be paid to comments, especially if one tags one of the Programmers.

  The same thing happened to me.  This is obviously a bug, but Geni apparently does not let you contact them with bug reports.

  Hello Charlotte, Lo and James. I took at look at the profiles I could from what you've written, and it seems they all have profile images associated with them that are displaying without problem. If you're still having this issue, please let me know and send me a link or URL to the profile that's affected so I can take a look.

  If I remember right, I ended up creating a duplicate profile for my partner somehow, putting his photo up on that one, then merging or something. I don't quite remember what I did. It was a hassle, but yes, his picture is back up now. I hope the bug itself is fixed.

  Hi Charlotte - I did recently help one other user who had a problem with her photo disappearing and it was because it was a Facebook photo and there was some mixup in communication between Geni and Facebook that caused the problem. It's possible that this was the problem with your partner's profile as well, but it's hard to tell now. If you have this problem again, just file a bug report and let us know and we'll look into it.
