I've come across this many times today. I couldn't complete the following merges because Geni kept giving me a "Technical Difficulties" error when I'd click "merge".

There were at least two other sets as well. I tested deleting all my cookies and logging back in and I tested removing some relationships so there were no red highlighted relationship conflicts.
