Unable to add Event to random Documents

I'm able to select a valid event from pull-down list, but event does not save. Problem seems to be random - just some documents have this problem.

Using Windows 7 w/IE 8

To reproduce:

Select existing document

Unknown Location (Edit) -- P.S. Not sure why their isn't a generic "Edit" Document link

Choose an existing event

Save

  Hi Jack - I was able to verify this bug and I've created a ticket to get it fixed.

  Hi Jack - We released a fix for this today. The issue was that we were showing events in the dropdown that you did not have permission to add media to. We've fixed that so that you'll only see events you can actually add media to.

  Natalie, I appreciate the fix, but why would I not have permission on some events? Secondly how am I able to identify which documents do not have an associated event? I hope the answer is not I will have to open each document - this would be workable with 100s of documents. I suggest the event be added to thr document review/summary.-JF

  Hi Jack - you might not have permission on some events for the same reason you don't have some permissions on some profiles - we have privacy rules in effect that limit who can view and/or edit some of the information on the site.

  There is not a simple way to filter your documents to view those that don't have an event associated with them. You are welcome to request this feature in our Feature Request section (http://help.geni.com/forums/343671-feature-requests) as we have some enhancements to documents planned in the near future.
