Bjørn P. Brox The field become visible when under edit profile are marking that the person is deceased.
How can I update the profile for someone who is deceased?
If the profile is claimed i.e. a user profile with an email attached you need to use the Report tool to get help from Geni staff to release the profile: How do I report a profile as Deceased?
