Dear Geni
I think you should study this: How can Thomas Egestad have two fathers ?
Something is completely wrong and I can not manage to correct it.
But the throuth is: Rolf Egestad and Rolf Sverre Egestad is the same person, originally registered in different threes,
now connected. I am not able to merge them.

Dan Cornett Karl: can you provide links to the relevant profiles? A Curator may be able to help you if you post such genealogical (rather than technical) issues in this Discussion topic: (http://www.geni.com/discussions/80793) to seek Curatorial assistance.
Yes, it is common to see multiple parents after a merge ... until someone then merges the duplicate parents (and/or children).

Dan Cornett Hi, again, Karl.
I think I have the multiple branches of your family consolidated now. Please check with the other active Geni members in the extended family, and have them check the "Data Conflicts" (under the Action button on the profile page). There are a number of inconsistencies in the use of the various "name" fields which you all may want to talk about. One of the big items is to remind everyone to enable the display of middle name(s) -- that is NOT turned on by default (those preferences are here: http://www.geni.com/account_settings/name_preferences ). An also to make use of the Birth Name field, instead of using the birth-name as an additional middle or last name; again, the 'name preferences' lets each person control how they prefer to have it displayed.
