"No Name" alias

I received the email below informing me that someone had deleted profiles I manage. When I follow the second link to the list of deleted profiles (there were 3 this time) I find that "no name" has deleted my work. When did it become acceptable for someone to hide behind an irresponsible "sock puppet" name and then perform changes to someone's tree? I highly recommend a feature in Geni to prohibit such aliases, thus requiring users to reveal their true identity when performing such acts.
