All I wanted to do was research a Hugh Kennedy, born 1750 in PA. However, it says his father was a William Kennedy who died in either 1736 or 1745 in Augusta Georgia. Is this an oops or what? Was not really interested in setting up another account as we are already on My Heritage.

Jeff, Geni Curator While Geni and MyHeritage do have some account "linking", they're not at the point where they have single authentication. Hopefully in the works, but probably a lower priority than adding research features I suspect. As for the death location, it seems like it would probably be Augusta, Virginia not Augusta, Georgia as to match the listed birth location. Might just be an "auto-match" mistake by selecting the wrong Augusta, but I'm not familiar with this family. If you want to message the managers of that profile (there are 3), then go to the profile (http://www.geni.com/people/William-Kennedy/384059158580006529) and click Contact Profile Manager, which would send them an email, or alternatively, you could start a discussion on the profile via the discussion tab. Hope you consider connecting your tree into this line - it would be great to have your research contributing to the world tree.
