I am trying to decide whether to join Geni. My cousin listed my grandmother with my email - and Geni thought I was my grandmother. After several emails notifications that I was more than 125 years old, I got another email today saying that my grandmother is my great aunt and has a sister with the same name - NOT CORRECT - there is no sister with the same name and I can't remove the duplicate name. If this isn't fixed so that it is easier to edit info, I won't join

Bjørn P. Brox If you get emails you have already joined because your cousin invited you, - unfortunately to the wrong profile.
We can solve this two ways: Rename, replace and move the claimed profile to correct position in the tree or that you just close the account and as your cousin to re-invite you to the correct profile.
As a curator I can help you with the first solution if you send me the details using the Geni messaging system.
