The X to delete the profiles is not visible in all of them

I committed a mistake today and created some profiles but when tried to delete them i was unable to see the X to delete them.

  The profile needs to be "at the end" (if that makes any sense).  So for example, a child profile with no spouse or children, or a parent with no parents.  It won't let you "split a tree" (leave profiles disconnected and floating).  If it is a big segment and you don't want to delete all of them, a curator can help you split the tree.
