Hi.
I've been having trouble adding people to my tree. I can input the details but when I click save&close, it goes back to the tree view but there is this "wheel" scrolling and it just keeps rolling until I click the back button. When I go back to the tree, that person has been added there several times. I've never had this problem before and now it's happening on my laptop as well as desktop (both in Safari and Firefox). Any ideas what to try?

Mine has done the same as described above. Here is another problem that I am having.
I go to add a new father profile and the processing wheel scrolls for a very long time. I finally get a message that "Add Failed - This person already has parents". I click OK on the message and refresh the screen because there are not any changes. When I return to where I was trying to add the father, the profile appears for the father and for the mother. Both profiles are in blue like this person has two fathers and doesn't have a mother. This is the third evening that this is happening. I was waiting to see if it was just me or a wide spread problem. I was going to submit a ticket tonight if it continued. I just added my fist person tonight (Cornelis Joannes van den Hoogen) and after a very long wait I got the same "Add Failed" message, refreshed my screen, returned to where I was trying to add him, and he is appearing as his father and also as another father where the mother should appear.
I haven't gone any further yet, but this is what has been happening.
1) I delete the duplicate father in the mother's position.
2) I enter the information to add the mother and press add. It just scrolls and scrolls for such a long time that I finally hit the go back button.
3) Nothing is there so I hit my refresh screen and return to where I tried to enter the mother.
4) She is in the position where I tried to add her, but when I open her profile the "date of death and location of death" that I entered are missing every time.
5) I then hit "edit the profile" and add the death date and location again. The wheel scrolls again for a very very long time. I finally hit the go back button and her profile is corrected.
I am running a completely up to date version of Windows 7 64 bit.
We recently had the 28 Windows updates, but I am not sure if this started immediately after the updates or a couple of days later. We also recently had an update to Adobe Acrobat Reader about the same time.
I am running Kasperksy Internet Security 2014 which has daily updates. This has not caused a problem before, but it could be the first.
I normally run Chrome, but have tried Fire Fox and it still causes the same problem. I also disabled all of my add-ons and this had no effect on the problem.
I have one last variable to throw at you. I joined MyHeritage last Tuesday the 8th.

Having the same problems my record for duplicate profiles is 11 and when I move on to another Geni churns for a long time and times out. Trying to edit profiles, the edit seems to fail but when you go bask to the page before editing and reload, the changes are there.
Yep, same problem, noticed it for the first time on Saturday. Something has wrong with the Geni user interface.
This problem is ongoing and worse than what has been described here. It not only impacts the addition of profiles but also the addition of events. The common denominator seems to be in the addition of location information, e.g. location of birth, location of death, location of event, etc.
It should have my family, but is showing family of my mother, listing incorrect relationships. How can I change these?
I'm having trouble adding people. My father was one of 10 children. Only 8 appear. I've added the other 2 several times but they never appear on my tree. PLEASE HELP!!!!
A NEW PROBLEM adding the first child to their either father and Mother. There was no problem before today -
On the VIew Tree Page - On Ligaya Flores ABELARDO's name box, I Clicked the Yellow Side Arrow to add her two brothers names Benedicto Flores ABELARDO and Daniel Flores ABELARDO.
On Benedicto Flores ABELARDO's name box, I Clicked the Yellow Side Arrow to add his spouse's name Weltrudis Danao GUYOD. The two names appeared as husband and spouse.
On Benedicto Flores ABELARDO's name box, I Clicked the Down Yellow Arrow to add his son's name Nicanor Guyod ABELARDO. A Pink box appeared with a line connected to Benedicto Flores ABELARDO's name box that read, "Add This Name" connecting to Nicanor Guyod ABELARDO's name box below. Why should that new Pink box be shown at all?? I already added ABELARDO and GUYOD as Husband and Spouse!!.
I deleted Nicanor Guyod ABELARDO's name from the Pink box connected to his father.
This time on Weltrudis Danao GUYOD's name box, I clicked the Down Yellow Arrow to add her son Nicanor Guyod ABELARDO's name. A Blue box appeared that read, "Add This Person", and a line connecting to Weltrudis Danao GUYOD's name box and her son Nicanor Guyod ABELARDO below.
Why?????? I never had any problem like this before!!! Please Correct this ERROR and remove the Pink and Blue Box. Clicking Side Yellow Arrow menu and Clicking "Spouse" is understandable, but "Add This Person" makes no sense at all.
