Sir William Johnsones profile is so very wrong and bars no comparison to the several biographies that are well researched.
He never had a wife called Caroline and thats just for starters so I will not sign up with you

Unfortunate, because a community tree works by people correcting mistakes to make the most accurate tree possible. Similarly, you'll find mistakes in Wikipedia, but on a whole, it is the most complete and accurate encyclopedia available, because people get involved to correct the errors. The best thing to do is to add a discussion thread to William Johnson, instead of here - it's not a software bug, it's human error.
As for the profile http://www.geni.com/people/Sir-William-Johnson-Sr-Baronet/
It says he had many concurrent relationships and that he had three children with Caroline, niece of the Mohawk chief known as King Hendrick. Their son was "William of Canajoharie" and each of their two daughters married British army officers.
This is reflected in the encyclopedia: http://encycl.opentopia.com/term/Sir_William_Johnson,_1st_Baronet
http://montgomery.nygenweb.net/johnson/Chap02.html
Ancestry, and even Find a Grave: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=54383851
However, I don't see it in Wikipedia, so maybe it's wrong info. Worth a discussion... but it doesn't seem like something to abandon the software over. Fix it.
The place to discuss it is here: http://www.geni.com/people/Sir-William-Johnson-Sr-Baronet/6000000003340231324#/tab/discussion

Hi Jeff
I was actually only looking around the world via the web to see if anyhting is being done for the tercentenary of Sir William Johnson and nothing seems to being done. I cannot carp about that because I am not able to do anything because of age, bad eyes and general decreptitude.
I do not like any of these encyclopeadia type things as they seem none too fussy avout sources.
What I dont get is how Sir John Johnson (second Baronet) is so revered by Candians when he did nothing. He got given stuff because of his father. He ran off and left his family in such danger that 1 or 2 (depending on the source) of his children died. The man was a prat.
Most importantly the man was never entitled to call himself Baronet because he was not lawfully begotten as he was required to be. Source; King George 111.
In Burkes Sir William Johnson says that he was married 1739 Mary, dau of John de Wissenbergh, of Montreal. All I can say to that is Blarney!!!!
Then "Mary" Catherine Weissenberg vanishes!!!
"Mary" Catherine was my g-g-g-g-g-g-grandmother and she was never once (correct me if I am wrong) referred to as Lady Johnson so why should he son inherit?
