Two of my relatives who are married are separated by a long row of siblings. I am trying to use the move function to move them closer together, and I follow the procedure faithfully. But then I get an error result which invites me to report a bug if the problem persists. When I try to report the bug, all I get is prompted to sign up for Geni prime. The way it is formatted now it is almost impossible to tell that the two were married.
Help!
I have problems understanding why you want to tamper with the family tree structure (which the Move action is for) if your problem is a cosmetic display problem, - you can corrupted the whole line by doing that.
To get a better overview of a generation you should reduce the number of descendant and ancestors generations you want to display at the same time.
You find that setting in the Preferences/Display tab at the bottom of the tree-view display.
When I am "working in the forest" I always set both values to minimum: 1
