I have a family tree at Ancestry with over 10,000 people in it. I'm sure not going to waste my time on this lame site re-entering them. Jewish Gen has had uploading for GEDCOMs for YEARS and so have all the other sites. It's pathetic programming and laziness to not allow this. I just spent $119 on a Pro account and I'm seriously pissed that I can't upload my GEDCOM.

Jeff, Geni Curator Geni had GEDCOM uploads but it was destroying the tree. Unlike those other sites where you work in your isolated tree, Geni is a world tree, where all duplicates are merged to a single profile. So guess what happens when thousands of people upload 10,000 people in a GEDCOM file - massive, massive duplication. It created way more work then it was worth. We likely have 9,500 of your 10,000 profiles already. The point is to build up to the world tree and merge in. However, Geni does see that this needs to be fixed. It is at the top of their priority list.
