Now since today this message is coming up and Geni takes me into your HTML5 beta side trial tree...
I have had absolutely no problems pulling up the tree normally until yesterday on my Explorer, so I believe you have a bug somewhere in your trial version...
As far as I know and have experienced, my FLASH player works perfectly on my Explorer as well. Mozilla, BTW, does not exhibit this same problem right now.

I have it all the time on one of my computers. Also looks like myheritage.com has the same problem on that computer. No other websites 'detect' that same problem, however. /SW (geni and MH Pro).
I have the same problem as of late. Really annoying. Hope this will be fixed soon.

What is going on with geni. I can no longer view my tree normally. No flash player detected keeps coming up. Never had a problem before and can no longer open geni with internet explorer.
Fixed mine. Try this. On your web browser (ie explorer), click on the settings button on top right hand side. Looks like a cog or wheel. Select 'Manage add-ons. Then select Tool bars and extensions. Make sure Shockwave Flash Object is ENABLED.

What is going on!!!! I have been able to view my family tree in the past but now I cannot. It keeps coming up that "No Flash Player Detedted" even through my Shockwave Flash Object is enabled. Fix the problem.
Carl, this is an issue with your browser or something being blocked on your end. The flash tree is working. Perhaps try a different browser, unblock scripting, update your flash, or clear cookies. It's always a client issue.
I cant get my tree properly on any of the browsers. it always says flash player not detected and yet I do have up to date flash player.
Up until about 2 weeks ago I was able to get the tree in its proper format perfectly ok - I don't like the new tree that only shows coloured boxes with first names only.
I've tried different things that have been suggested on other comments and reply's but got nothing to work so far ?????
It should still work on the Chrome browser, though. Safari? Forget it !

Safari doesn't work either, never did in recent time. Interesting, though: On My Heritage until very recently same problem with Safari, but last I checked, it worked! So it looks like the MH guys got their problem fixed. BTW, it has nothing to do with Flash plug.in missing: You can refresh and upload the Flash player as much as you want, doesn't solve the problem at all. But I guessed, you already tried and know that.

Geni working fine on Chrome on my MacAirs (got 2 of them). Hasn't tried it on my PC today, however. MH working on Chrome AND on Safari (which Geni doesn't) on same MacAirs.
I only have a windows 10 lap top.

Geni is working on both my Mac and PC, in every browser. You just have to enable Flash in your browser settings because flash has been disabled ny default in most of them lately. For Chrome you have to remember that as an extra security Flash is a part of the Chrome installation, so you have to make sure that the browser itself is latest version.
For some browsers you can enable Flash for geni.com only

Jennifer, I understand you, that Mac drives me nuts more often than not. I always loved my Windows PC, but eventually in my company, everybody was pulled into the Mac culture by our IT guy. Prior to that it was Blackberry for email on the go and I also loved my BB, which sadly faded away, when our IT guy srapped our BB server :(. I'll try Geni on my PC later today, and unless you hear from me, it still works there as well.
