Invite to family members not being sent

I added email addresses for some of my family members but didn't get any confirmation that invites were sent. I confirmed this with my sister who hadn't received anything from Geni. I then tried the "Invite your family" page and it says clearly "Some of your family members have email addresses but have not been invited yet. View and Invite Them"

When I click on the "View and Invite Them" button I can see all the members whose email addresses I have entered and they are all selected by default. When I click on "Invite" the window closes returning me to the "Invite your family" page and a notification saying "Sent a reminder to 0 relatives".

Why is this?

  My grandma is not getting her invite and would really like to join. Please help. Thanks.

  Jana, if  the grandmother you are talking about is Joyce Marie Adams, she has  a Gmail address and with Gmail the message probably went to her Spam. this is an ongoing problem with them.

  Hello,

  I am having this same problem - I am trying to invite a third cousin who has a gmail account - I click invite, but then get the page that says 'reminder sent to 0 relatives'.  The message is not in the spam box either.

  Hi all,

  Thank you for reporting this issue. The page will state 'Sent a reminder to 0 relatives' if the invite was already sent recently. We will be making a change so that recently invited relatives will be excluded from the list. 

  For relatives that use Gmail: If they do not see the invite email in their Inboxes, besides checking their spam or junk folders they should also check the other Gmail tabs (Primary, Social, Promotions, etc.).

  I tried adding emails to family profiles and its not updating. My family did not receive the invitations

  I would like to invite my wife into the family tree, so she can add family members and information.   The problem is that her existing profile includes a very old E-mail address that has long been invalid, and the system does not allow me to update that address.  (The edit function that works in all other spaces does not work in that one.)  I see no way of modifying her address so that an invitation can be sent.

  Paul, I've removed the email from your wife's profile.  You should now be able to re-invite her using the updated email address.

  Excuse me, Geni Team. My Uncle, Michael Lee Boon Keat has tried to invite a relative into the family tree, but the relative didn't receive the invite in Gmail, none in spam and junk files either. Could you help troubleshoot the problem? Many thanks 🙏

  Hi! I'm so excited about completing our family tree- I am getting lots of people involved and everyone is stoked about it, but it seems I reached a max capacity to invite family members, I am not able to add any more emails. Could that be?

  Hi Jimena, it looks like you got caught in our spam filter, which holds messages if there are too many sent at once until it can be reviewed by our team. We've released the hold and you should be able to continue inviting your relatives.
