No time to follow it. .I tried to become inactive but I ended up hitting the revision button and inherited a portion of my family tree that i do not want to manage. What is your simple way to correct this error and remove me from the site?

Bjørn P. Brox Check your account settings you find in the user menu you get by clicking your own name in the upper right part of any Geni window.

Bjørn P. Brox You should talk to your first cousin who added and invited you.
As for most sites with a login you find your account settings by clicking your own name and close your account where you also get the option that at least your own profile should be deleted.

Victoria Chinn She’s tried to remove me and it won’t let her. There is also another account that we have been listed on that we were not informed about. I couldn’t find any way of deleting it either

Victoria Chinn There is no way of deleting my account in my profile or settings!

Bjørn P. Brox She cannot delete your profile as long as you are a Geni user yourself. You have to close your account to give her access.
I will look for the other tree and take contact with the users to ask it to be deleted.

Victoria Chinn Thank you. I’d really appreciate that. Can you also have my parents removed too. How do I close my account? I cannot find any way of doing that. It doesn’t give it as an option on my account.

Bjørn P. Brox Click your own name in the upper right corner of a Geni window, and you will see a pop-down menu where you find your account settings where close account is one of the options.
