Allow me to update my motheer's details (date of death)

My mother Zena Myra Abrahams (Kaplan) passed away this year and I am unable to update her details even though I added her in 2007!!!! 

Geni is sending out her birthday reminder!!!  This is unacceptable.

As her son, and someone who entered her details on your site, I should be able to update her details.

Please explain!!!
