Your automated place listings for births deaths and cemetery's does not allow for historically correct places which in time have become obsolete or renamed to be entered.I really think that is a big issue if we are putting out supposed historical information on people and places

You can edit the location fields after you've entered them. Geni uses Google's place names, so it updates to the current name of the location. This will hopefully allow mapping features in the future.

No it doesn't. At least not correctly. For example, 12 Brompton Crescent was in Brompton, Middlesex, in the 19th century. It's now in Kensington. Your use of the Google API makes it almost impossible to enter this correctly. It is "automistake" changed to 12 Brompton PARK Crescent in Fulham. While these are both in London, they are by no stretch of the imagination the same place.
